Gil Vidals - President and CEO

In 1988 Gil Vidals started his career working for Morgan Stanely in New York City as a systems analyst. After gaining experience in programming on mainframes, Gil decided to pursue a career in business and moved to San Diego, California where he took a position as the Director of International Sales for MicroStar.

In 1998 Gil started a web hosting business to serve nonprofits, ministries, and other Christian organizations. He decided to promote the new venture through AltaVista, the nascent search engine. From his efforts in promoting Truepath, Position Research developed with a focus on Search Engine Marketing (SEM).

Gil continues to program developing internal tools for search engine analysis. He also develops new business opportunities such as Nixracks, which was launched in 2008 to meet the demand for dedicted and virtualized servers.

Gil holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Kansas and an MBA in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management (AGSIM).
 

David Johnson - Director of Sales and Marketing; Search Engine Research

David Johnson, a mechanical engineer by degree, has served in technical marketing and sales capacities for engineered products for over 25 years.  Now, 7 years as Director of Sales, Marketing and Search Engine Research for Position Research, a professional Search Engine Optimization (SEO) company, David brings marketing, research and analysis to the SEO community.

Under David Johnson’s direction, Position Research has pioneered proprietary analysis tools used to benchmark competing websites.  These tools enable Position Research to quantify website attributes that search engines apply in their ranking algorithm.  With this information in hand, a comprehensive SEO approach can be defined to attain top ranked positions for its clients.

David has authored several technical papers, some of which have been nationally syndicated and reproduced in part by Search Engine Watch.  He is an active member of iMarketers, San Diego chapter, and has spoken at several regional seminars.

Aaron received a degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) from The University of New Mexico in 2002.  He spent all four years in a formal webmaster position and held multiple technical internships, which helped build a strong foundation in both computer hardware and software.

 

Aaron began working at Position Research in 2003 and now has more than 5 years experience in the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) industry.  He received a certification in search engine marketing strategies from The Academy of Web Specialists. Aaron has since been promoted to senior search engine analyst due to his extensive experience in handling both SEO and PPC campaigns.  In addition, Aaron's past experience has given him the ability to routinely handle systems administration and web development projects.
 

Kasey Wallrath - Search Engine Analyst

Kasey comes from a Multimedia background studying Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts at UC San Diego with a minor in Computer Science. During his years studying, he did Web Mastering and Web Design when not attending classes. After Graduating, Kasey joined the team at Kforce Professional Staffing where he worked as a Web Marketer/Content Editor/Internet Researcher. During this time he was also conducting light PPC/SEO duties for a small group of clients as a second job. 

Since then, Kasey has moved on from Kforce to Position Research and is now one of the Search Engine Analyst/Account Managers. Kasey enjoys the daily duties and challenges in his role and is very happy to be a part of the Position Research team.
