Job Title:
Search Engine Analyst - level 1
Location: Escondido, CA
Job Status: Exempt, full time
Salary Range: $32K - $35K annually
The Search Engine Analyst, level 1, is responsible for achieving top positions in the search engines for corporate and in-house clients by utilizing the latest SEO concepts and techniques. The search engine analyst, level 1, position reports directly to the president of the company with supervisory direction from the Senior Search Engine Analyst.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Obtain high rankings for corporate and in-house clients' web sites.
- Use software tools to measure keyword densities on existing site and increase/decrease densities optimally.
- Understand the "big picture" of a successful SEO campaign.
- Create Strategic Keyword Analysis to find optimal keywords for a web site.
- Writes copy in a variety of styles and editorial voices.
- Understands HTML well and manipulates HTML tags using a basic editor.
- Works closely with artistic and engineering groups to manage placement of text on Web site or service.
- Edits copy and refreshes content to keep text current.
- Provide clients with monthly progress report.
- Handle customer technical questions and production issues.
Basic requirements:
- Able to work with a standard PC computer hardware without special accommodation.
- Able to touch type at least 25 words per minute.
- Able to work at a computer monitor for extended periods of time without special accommodation.
- Able to answer telephone calls, respond to callers, and route them to different employees.
- Able to work at Position Research's Escondido, CA office during normal business hours (8 AM through 5 PM)
Special requirements and aptitudes:
- Proven track record in building and applying best practices/methodology to projects.
- Strong analytical skills. Able to understand diverse and abstract concepts and theorize possible outcomes.
- Able to accomplish tasks quickly while attention to detail.
- Able to express information and concepts in a way that is easily understood by employees and clients.
- Advanced command of word processing, spreadsheet, and email application programs.
- Advanced command of HTML. Some knowledge of PHP and SQL helpful.
- Completed a minimum of 4 years, or equivalent, of college level computer related studies.
- Advanced knowledge of website design and construction.
- Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability work well under pressure in a team environment.
- Must be a self-starter with an ability resolve issues without full-time senior management supervision.
